Basically a trailer home not surprised, no anchors to framing and no foundation

    2. A 76-year-old woman was in the home when it was thrown into the air.

“I don’t know how she survived,” her daughter said.
“She got thrown around and beat up pretty bad but is ok.”

    3. Nice work on the frame there. Too bad they might have forgotten the foundation ties, though tornadoes sometimes laugh at that.

Mental note: If a tornado strikes, leave the house and hop in a golf cart

They need to make them manufactured housing what they made that golf cart from.

    6. Pre-fab house that basically sits on the ground. Much easier for the big bad wolf to blow down

If you didn’t have this on video, insurance would say that will be about $3478 in damages

Ah, bit o’ gorilla tape’ll patch that right up, it’ll be grand.

It’s amazing how fickle tornadoes are….one house destroyed, the one next door still standing

    10. There’s no foundation to that house?  Damn.

I hope anyone in there’s okay.

Knew a guy this happened to. He was left holding his toilet still bolted to the floor and his house was gone.

No lag bolts in the sill plate… or everything was toe nailed into the plate. In tornado alley. Smh.

Yo but that golf cart needs to use this as an advertisement.

      Glad the woman is ok!

Serious question from a European who doesn’t have this problem… why does America build homes from such flimsy materials where tornados are a real possibility?

    16. It’s a “manufactured” house so it is made of 2 ply cardboard and 1 sheet of plywood. But it’s cheap so there you go.

    17. Shocks me that after all this time, the people of Florida still haven’t switched to all-cement homes. We all know the next hurricane is coming!

    18. So the house/trailer gets picked up out of the ground, but the golf cart wasn’t touched…
